thumbster will become famous soon enough.
Default Re: Oh No!

There has to be some kind if software to calculate this. If someone knew the drag coefficient of a Tundra and plugged in the power figures combined with the weight and rolling resistance, you should be able to come close to the capable top speed.

i'll do it if i am wearing my One peice Motorcycle suit with my Helmet

i think you're aware of wind resistance, just by having that gear =) Though it WOULD look funny to see a guy in a 1pc standing in the back of the truck...

"look, i'm safe!"

Then start dancing in your suit (a-la two wheel freaks ad where the guy starts dancing to cotton eye joe in his 1pc/smoked visor)

It's sad there is a limitor on the Tundra in the first place but there are a few sportbikes with them too.

what is the current progress on having a video with a top above top speed with the S/c installed. Mark(Sparks Toyota) do you have any plan's to over ride the speed limitor and produce a S/C 5.7 with speed in mind?

http://vlsicad.ucsd.edu/~sharma/Potpourri/perf_est.html

Anyone wanna give it a try?
Double Cab
Weight = 5705
Drag C0. = 0.37
Frontal Area = 38.5 sq/ft (estimated)
Drivetrain = 3.33,1.96,1.35,1.00,0.73,0.59
Axle Ratio = 4.3
Tire = 255/70/18

Just plug in your dyno graph (available off google search)

My Stock top speed = 133mph (drag limited)
Modified = 149mph (drag limited, if pushing 460lb/ft torque to wheels)
Theoretical = 225mph (if drag is not part of equation)

btw - you would need 1000lb/ft torque just to hit 200mph

This sounds right.

To get somewhat back on topic as mxsjw sorta suggested, do we KNOW the coefficent of drag on the new Tundras?
