I have a 2003 Tundra V8. A few weeks ago I installed a new TRD Supercharger. Something that has me puzzled is this. After passing a slow car on the highway (with help of forced induction) the Air conditioning compressor stopped running. Within a few minutes the dash vents started blowing warm air. I switched the A/C off and on a few times and it didn't help. So I turned off the A/C switch for 3 minutes. I turned it back on and had all kinds of cold air!
Now when you floor the accelerator it makes sense for the truck's electronics
to turn off the A/C for those 6-7 seconds ( parasitic drag). But when you let up on the gas and are back to cruising the A/C should turn back on.
Any others have this problem?

Ya know, i drive an '03 supercharged tundra, as well. I just recently ran into a SIMILAR problem. My a/c is intermittently not cooling. I turn it off for a minute or so, and when i turn it back on, it's ok. However, i've also noticed that i'm intermittently running pretty hot (engine, not a/c). My guess is that i have a coolant leak, but i'm not certain that the two are related. It could be coincidence that they show up together. My other guess is that I have a busted thermostat. I include this info as the overheating and a/c thing showed up at the same time. are you noticing the overheating?
I've changed a thermostat before, it it was in an older jeep grand cherokee- I think the fact that there's a supercharger is going to make replacing it a bit tougher. I'll be looking into that.
I don't have any problem with overheating. Even in the extreme heat we've had in the last 2 weeks the temp gauge sits where it always has -- right in the middle.
I installed the new thermostat that came w/the SC ... 160 vs. 190 degrees.

I have 2003 supercharged tundra, and I don't have that problem... running with AC and full boost with out any issues.
I am with you, except mine is a 2002 S/C. It blows cold all the time, full boost or not. I did add an aux fan like the sequoia to help with Idle conditions, but that is because I have a body lift.
Glad to hear your problem went away.

Hi George. I was thinking about this and due to this being a recent install, there is a chance there could be a wire loose going to your AC compressor or pressure switch. I know it is working now but you might want to make sure the connection is good so you don't end up without AC agian. Best of luck.
