I have a 4.7 tundra and im wanting to do a preformance mod since I lifted my truck.
For right now untill i can save some more $ I want to do one preformance mod to my truck. I obviously want the best mod first. But what is the best first mod u can do to it to make it more powerfull?
any input or suggestions would be appreciated

Let me ask you something. What exactly do you want to do with your truck?
I sense that you are a young man who just bought his first vehicle and you want to mod it just for the sake of modding it.
What are you trying to do? Do you want to lift it and take it off-road? Lower it and make a street machine? What you really need to do is decide which direction you're heading and then do your modifications accordingly.
why keep my intake stock? dosnt that improve hp +15 and dosnt it help with gas a bit?
No and no. Stock intake is the best intake setup for these trucks. A K&N, AFE, AIRAID, and whatever other ones there are let in hot air from the engine bay. The stock setup lets in cooler air from within the filter.

Not to mention the loss of low-end torque that an intake will cause you.
I got my K&N for $280, and soon after I installed it I took if right off and tossed in the junk pile. Search "air intake" or "cold air intake" or something along those lines and you will see tons of threads of people arguing what is better.... stock or aftermarket. Leave your intake stock, trust us!

There is a poll in the Polls Sub-forum about what is the "best" intake. The overwhelming winner is to leave it stock.
I had the opportunity to buy a used Injen intake for my Corolla for $50. I figured, "what the hell, let's see what it does." I removed it less than 2 hours after I installed it. It not only hurt the 'rolla's performance, it didn't even give me the "cool sound" it promised.
wow thats crazy cuz i was like nearly bought a k&n intake.
so if u had the decision between headers and a new muffler or
a unichip.
what would u pick?
I would stay away from the Unichip because you have the pre-VVTI engine. The gains (from what I have seen) have not been as noticeably in the 00-03 tundras as they are in the 04-06 tundras. I would do a new muffler first, then headers. Headers cost more to buy and cost a lot more to install.

I beg to differ.
I have a 2001, and my Unichip did help overcome my bigger tires. However, I bought mine used for less than half the price of a new one which is around $800 or so. I'd never pay full price.
