Default Compression ratio and turbo

hey guys, as some of you know im planning of rebuilding my engine, but im doing some prep work, buying everything before i do my rebuild and so on,

4.7 engine

my question is the 8.5 or the 9.0 for compression which one do i want to go for to use the STS system?

will one deliver more power across the ban? how much big of a difference is it? and will it make my MPG worst before i install the turbo..??

the engine will be rebuild but will wait for turbo when i have more money

also
is it possible to use the RX7 twin turbo? this way i can have low and top end power rather than a single turbo working more at top end ?

sorry im a newbee at the turbo, i am a pro at NA rotary only

i just notice the URD rotrex SC the lower compression ratio pistons would be good for that setup also rite? seems in my price range, anyone running the setup?

I don't think you have a clear idea of what you are getting yourself into with this engine. I would say get a faster car...

If you are running a low boost system, say 5lbs of boost max, you can stick with stock compression ratio. Keeping your compression ratio high keeps your low end throttle response and torque. Lowering the compression allows for more boost but kills your bottom end power until the turbo spools up.

O boy do you have alot to learn before you should doing a turbo build yourself, I recommend you get a couple good books on turbocharging and read up. I would recommend "Street Turbocharging" by Mark Warner. Very informative book, well explain everything you need to know about building a boosted engine. Also find someone who knows what they are doing to help out. And good luck, I'd love to see a boosted tundra.
