I looked at the pic before reading the post, and the first thing I thought was, "is that a rebadged Volant?" I do prefer that color scheme to the Volant, but it seems that none of the "styling" is really RBP's doing, unless you call the logo a style.
The CAI seems to be exactly the same as the Powercore...the lid, tube, filter - all of it. So why is the MSRP more than double the price of the Volant?
I gotta say that I do really like some of the RBP stuff, but some of the pricing based on the brand is outrageous. $630 for a "cold" air intake?

Yup, Volant makes it. The reason the styling is the same is because Volant won't actually make it different. They will only badge it for RBP using their logos.
I agree that the $tag is a little shocking, especially when you compare it to the price of the Volant (non-RBP), but when getting it from them you have to pay for Volant's tech and design and filter and then you have to pay RBP for thier branding.
Third you have a Volant powercore don't you!?
I think I asked you about the sound from yours, the sound from this pales in comparison to that AFE I had, this is quiet. That AFE was so loud you couldn't hear someone talking inside the cab after 4,000rpm.
I liked it because it's different and as you watch the final progression, the truck will have more RBP stuff on it.

No, I had several different versions of the Volant for my Titan, not the Toyota. After I couldn't stand the rattles anymore, I switched to the Injen.
I considered the Powercore for the Tundra, but after they recalled the first run of the Titan version last year, I got nervous and went with the aFe. I just lost all of my faith in Volant quality and R&D I haven't heard any buzz about the Tundra Powercore, so it looks that things have changed for the better.
Your aFe was loud?? Weird, mine is only somewhat loud at WOT. I'm very grouchy and intolerant when it comes to noise too...to the point that I chucked my Magnaflow catback and went with a much tamer Proforce.

I was mistaken, I had the Airaid. That thing was a noise maker. Even getting on the freeway it was annoying, I returned it and the distributor even said that they had been getting a lot of returns due to noise which is why I had no problem with the return after it was installed.
I will say this Volant is great, the fitment was fine, the opening on the end of the canister was larger than the hole in the fender so I bolted it up and drew a trace line and then cut out the hole in the fender to be larger to allow more air to enter. That was the toughest part of the install by far. The rest is really straight forward, easy to do and bolts right in. You do also have to trim the engine cover, but I don't fret about plastic trimming. Hell I don't fret about fender metal or even frame metal trimming for that matter, hahaha. It fits nice and snug and there are no gaps at all so it pulls in only cold air from the fender, that's it.
It did seem to get rid of the VSC light problem I was having though, which is really odd. I didn't figure it would have done that, but my VSC light would come on under hard accelleration and after I installed this it doesn't any more. Wierd...
Im glad to see you like the RBP stuff. I became a fan of their stuff last year, although, i think some of it is over priced. Im going to say i like the riveted grille better, but i hope you don't get it, because thats the one i want for my truck..haha.

I have ultimately decided on the riveted grille. I should be picking one up in the next week or two. It will take me some time to get it on because I am doing a couple other changes at the same time that go with it.
