This is a discussion thread titled "TRD exhaust", within the Forced Induction Systems forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Here are the vids before and after but remember this is right after the exhaust has gotten louder since installing i will try to get more vids today if i can get someone to rev it up or use the camera while i drive by.
It sounds better , Cant tell if It sounds too ricey though , Badazz - If you had to give it a number 1-10 , 1 being stock and 10 being the normal ricer piece of crap ****boxes the that we all see here in SD all over the damn place
where does it stand ? From the vid id say a 2 or 3 ? What do you think ?
to be honest it sounds like all other trd exhausts that we have put on in the shop. It depends on what you want sound wise. Im actually more impressed that everything seems more responsive. Im happy with it and im sure over the next few days it will get a little louder. In a few hours ima take another vid see if it got louder or not
I can barely tell the diff on my speakers. Does it have more of a throaty sound like a v-8 or does it lean towards the typical 6 cyl ricer sounding exhaust systems.
I really like the TRD sound on the Tundra's. Not to loud but lets you know its got some grunt.
does the exhaust still stick below the cross member like the factory exhaust does when it crosses under the drive shaft? under carrage pics would be nice
