3 Days ago, I had a custom shop installed Flowmaster 50 Series Muffler with one in Dual out. 350.00 total same dia. 2.5" and dammit I lost Torgue. Also sounds nothing like Flowmasters website sound bite on the 50 series. It sounds like it's between a 50 and 60 series. It sounds ok like a high end Supra. But man did I loose torque. 0-50 mph feels weak. So I paid 350.00 to have power taken out. I need a fit. Im thinkng going with Magna Flow Single out or should I go 50 series single out instead of dual out. Help me Im sick and the wife is laughing at me! I need direction.

You likely lost power due to the size of your duals...2.5" duals is a bit much for these trucks. You could go with a single 2.5" or MAYBE 2.0" duals... Doesn't really matter which muffler you use though 2.5" duals will still be too large...

I have a 4.0L tundra and I got the CAT back 2.5" with a flowmaster 50 series. I can hear it really well at lower RPMs and the interior rsonance is pretty good but I want that "boat engine" sound I am not getting with the 50 series. The guy gave me the option of coming back if I wanted more sound so I think I am going back for the 40 series. I am hoping to add sound to the higher RPM range with the K&N 63 series air-charger (Retails $350, amazon has it for $240 with free shipping). Also if anyone wants a reference in southern Orange County I got a guy in Dana Point that does good cheap work. Total mom & pop hole in the wall but super affordable.
