can you post a video clip so i can hear how it sounds? im very curious.
There's a couple of old ones in my photo gallery. Click on the camera icon in my post and it'll take you there. I'm quite happy with mine. Left the resonator in place and used the stock piping with a Magnaflow tip at the original outlet location.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to syphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????

wow. after hearing that i must have one. aero turbine it is! was there a noticeable gain in performance?
No noticeable change in mileage or power from the Aero-Turbine and I don't believe anyone can realistically claim an overall improvement from any intake or exhaust mods. I say overall because the performance range can change from low end power to high end power by some mods. All I wanted was a decent sound without a performance loss I believe I got that.

LGL your truck sounds very nice
All you did was replace the muffler and keep everything else original?
Did you have to do any welding or was everything bolt on?
Do you mind if I ask how much it cost?
thanks............Rich

If I recall by including everything (muffler. SS Magnaflow angle cut rolled tip) and the installation it was around $325. The system is welded in place using the factory resonator to minimize any drone potential. The muffler required a SS extension pipe welded in because the Aero-Turbine is much smaller than the stock one and the shop welded a new support rod on the tailpipe to replace the factory rod that was welded to the original muffler. The new rod/hook slips right into the factory rubber mount that's attached to the chassis. They also cut off the tailpipe end and adapted the 3" diameter X 12" long Magnaflow tip. It exits at the original location with a little more downward angle so moisture can drain out easily in our cold climate. It's been in place for over a year and I'm still very pleased with it in spite of the Aero-Turbines higher cost. My son just had a Aero-Turbine installed on his 2005 Ford 5.4 liter F-150 and his sounds great also. Good Luck whichever decision you make.

Wow I can't believe nobody else on here has put in a really good word for Flowmaster. The very first mod I did to my 2003 SR5 Access was put dual stainless tip Flowmasters, Because of the stainless tips and the fact that the whole system was custom welded on it cost about 400$ but everyone that hears my truck loves absolutly loves it (one guy who was like 50 who had a Tundra similiar to mine told me it reminded him of his childhood and he wanted one immediatly) and in the past 2-3 weeks that that I've had it, literally 3 other people with Tundra's that I know or even just talked to have went to the same shop as me and PAID the 400$ to have it done, it sounds so awesome, I've had people come out of their houses to see who was driving down the road even when I was at almost idle, yet you can hardly hear it under normal driving. It has a very deep sound, right when I first turn the ignition every morning is one of my favorite sounds in the world (right after a chick moaning in bed). It sounds 10 times better then any domestic truck on the road, I'd never put any other system on a Tundra. Just thought I should speak up for the flows..
I went with the Banks Monster Exhaust cat back and have been very pleased. At idle you can hardly tell that it is not stock but under load it sounds great. What sold me was the fact that Banks actually gives you numbers on backpressure and cfm's. Everyone else that I saw basically said that their muffler design was a "flow through" and they upsize the pipe and there for it gave better performance. Don't know what kind of mpg I got before since I through on the cat back right after buying the truck but my 05 v8 dbl-cab is getting about 16mpg in city if I am driving conservatively.
Also speaking up for the flowmasters, I have duels with 50 series flowmasters. I love the sound! I should have kept the stock resonator becasue i do experience some drone around 2000 rpm. Besides that i love the exhaust.
Some guys here don't care for a raspy sound that flowmaster or spintech would give you, they prefere the more mellow, smooth sound of the magnaflow or gibson. All are great in my eyes, just depends on what you want to hear every day you start up your truck.
Raspy/loud/sounds like muscle car = flowmaster, spintech or Aero-Turbine
Smooth, mellow, deep rich sound = magnaflow, gibson, or banks
Goodluck deciding

leave it alone, the factory works best. if you want sound, then buy the exhaust.
Don't believe that quote for a minute. I've had both Flowmaster and Magnaflows on my 03, and Magnaflows are better hands down IMO. I even put their 2 1/2 mandrel bent SS system on my 69 Mach 1.
Dyno result show 5-7 HP gains in a free flowing muffler, and this is supported by TS members that have dynoed as well.
im most likely getting this installed thursday and i have last minute questions
1-how many oxygen sensors are there? i want to dump the exhaust and im not exactly sure where to do it (pics would be nice)...on my exhaust it seems like theres 2 pipes with a resonator/cat on each one then goes to single tube with another resonator/cat then just out the back. whats the best place to chop it off and weld the muffler in?
2-im hoping for some performance benefit, is there any with the aero turbine?
After hearing a Tundra with Flowmaster Cat back system, I'm convinced (i'm a big flowmaster fan anyway, it's what i ran on my 96 mustang gt). my question is what headers/y-pipe do you guys think is best, and does no one offer a catted x-pipe or h-pipe? I've been looking at different exhaust setups and had assumed flowmaster or borla would offer one (similar to what was on my GT), but with no luck. As a horsepower oriented person, I hate seeing headers going into a single cat system. True dual allows for better flow (though these days, it is only a small percentage over some of the aftermarket cat-back type systems).
