Cool Catback Exhaust system. Any suggestions which Model to get?

I'm looking to purchase a catback exhaust system and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to a brand name to go with and how difficult it would be to install. Also, would ther be an increased power gain. I was looking at the Flowmaster dual side exit model. Any info would be appreciated. Guy...

Your best option is to replace just the muffler with a spintech or gibson... HTH ~

Friend of mine has the flowmaster with dual exit pipes. It bolts to the resonator and back. It actually sounds pretty nice and it's not overkill

I have Flowmaster 40 series dual exit and i love the sound. It's not too loud but not too quiet. I lost a little low end power but gain top end power. My truck takes off once it hits 3000rpm. I would definately recommend Flowmaster.

I have the borla on my 03 Limited DC. I also have a Volex intake and 285/75-16 BFG MTs. It is now a dog. I would leave it stock, or as stated above just replace the muffler. Changing intake and exhaust screws up the engine and it actually lost power.

Here is what I wish I could dump from my truck:
Fabtec coil over fronts
Fox rear shocks
Volex intake
Borla dual cat back
16" Weld Rockcrushers
285 BFG MTs
Leather interior

Maybe trade a stock one for mine, with like miles ~ 34K

Lose of power? That doesn't sound right.... I was thinking of getting the TRD dual exhaust.

Waste of money. Find out who makes it and just buy the same thing. TRD = rediculous price markup.

TRD brakes = stop tech and they're at least 300 bux more

TRD dual exhaust gives no performance improvement (at least on an 06). Dragstrip tested.

Your truck is set up for a true dual system (2 small cats that go to one muffler). I just put on two Flowmaster series 50s (single ports) on mine and it improved performance and sounds great!

Just replace the muffler. Less than $100 and you get the sounds and whatever performance gains you might get...not a lot. Unless you like the LOOKS of a two pipe setup, why bother. The cross-sectional area of the stock cat-back is more than enough for this motor.
