This is a discussion thread titled "Another exhaust question????", within the Forced Induction Systems forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I'm a newby and I'm sure this questions been asked a few times. I have a 03 Tundra AC and want to put a new exhaust on. I've looked into the magnaflows and like them but I want to make sure I am buying the right one. I want it to sound good and help with gas mileage, do I need to replace the whole exhaust or just go with a new muffler? What are everyone's opinions?

A REAL truck.
Do the whole system.... I have the Zoomers Cat-Back exhaust and I love the sound and added performance. The system uses all mandrel pipe with less bends than the stock pipe plus a larger diameter for better flow. The best part is there is no drone in the cabin at any RPM. I've had Magnas and flow masters they seem to resonate or drone around 2000 rpm... Drove me nuts...Zoomers also has a lifetime warranty. $499.00 for the whole system well worth the $$$ IMHO..
500 bucks on a catback is not worth it for performance, larger diameter does not increase nothing but high end power! been proved to lose low end power with larger diameter piping also..you can install a magnaflow muffler all for about 90 bucks...
