Forced Induction SystemsDetailed discussions regarding cold-air intake systens, superchargers, turbo chargers, and other induction systems for your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "newer factory exhaust manifolds fit an '00???", within the Forced Induction Systems forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
There's a totaled Tundra at my local salvage yard. I know it's a '03-'05 model because it has a color-keyed front bumper, but not the rounded taillights that the '06s have. I haven't looked at the VIN to determine the actual year, but certainly could.
I have a cracked exhaust manifold on my V8 '00 Tundra, and have no interest in buying a new manifold to replace it, since I'm planning on selling it in a year when I buy a new Tundra. However, if the manifold on this '03-'05 totaled Tundra fits my '00 Tundra, I would happily switch them out.
Anyone know FOR SURE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER what year Tundra exhaust manifolds fit an older '00 Tundra?
As long as it's '04 or older, it'll work. The manifolds from a VVT-I engine ('05-'06) are different.

I have a 2000 that i belive has a cracked manifold how did yours get cracked and how many miles do u have on your truck
The 2000 Tundra's had a problem with the manifolds cracking at the welds to the header plate. There didn't seem to be a pattern related to mileage or use. Mine cracked at 35 K and I replaced them with JBA's rather than go back to the factory ones at a higher cost. I was out of warranty on time so that wasn't an option. The JBA's have been a good replacement and I wasn't interested in any horsepower improvement and didn't expect any.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to syphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
