Re: TS PREFERRED DEALERS SALE: Toyota Platinum Extra Care
I just purchased the Platinum VSA (7/100) for a 06 Corolla. I got the dealer down below $850 with a $50 deductable. What is the deal with the deductable? I looked on the Toyota site, and it looks like the plan with out the deductable is only $50 more. Did I get overcharged? It seems wierd that I pay $1000 for the plan, and pay $50 for each repair...or pay $1050 for the plan, and never pay for any repair.

Am I missing something with the deductible?
Nope, there is only a $50 price difference. It doesn't make any sense at all to me either. I think the only people that get the $50 deductible are ones in which the dealer didn't give them the choice.
You definately didn't get overcharged...you got it for less than Toyota's suggested retail price. But shoot me a PM or email if your interested in my quote on it with $0 deductible.
Re: TS PREFERRED DEALERS SALE: Toyota Platinum Extra Care
Just picked up a 6 yr/75K platinum from Troy for $590.00; much less than the dealer wanted. Just wanted to say thanks, Troy, for the deal. Was an easy and smooth transaction; already got the papers you sent in the mail.
Re: TS PREFERRED DEALERS SALE: Toyota Platinum Extra Care
Troy,
Emailed you tonight. I picked up an 06 DC Tundra today. 7/100K is what I'm looking for. Dealer said I had only 3 days to decide and was offering the 7/75K for $1415.
Re: TS PREFERRED DEALERS SALE: Toyota Platinum Extra Care
Hi Troy,
I just found this thread and this site. I just picked up my 2007 Camry Hybrid yesterday. The dealer was offering me the Extra Care Platinum and the Premium Auto Care 5,000 miles/4 years prepaid maintenance for $1598 (both packages, he wouldn't separate them). I have until tomorrow (Monday, 7/10) to add it to my purchase order. What price can you give me for both those packages? Thanks.
Re: TS PREFERRED DEALERS SALE: Toyota Platinum Extra Care
i'm a new member snoopin around on the forum. my parents just recently got me a new 06 tacoma v6 4x4 sport pkg for a graduation gift. This is my second toyota truck (frist one was a 93 toyota v6 ext. cab), and i like it alot. At the time of purchase we decided to get an ext. warranty. A few weeks back, i recieved in the mail the ext. warranty contract. After reading some of these post, i'm not sure if the ext. warranty that we purchase is of toyota's ext. warranty. From the looks of the contract, it looks like its a 3rd party's contract (Easy Care Vehicle SErvice Contrats, 84months/75,000 miles). Just curious why the toyota ext. warranty is better than 3rd party's warranty? btw, i'm ganna cancel my current contract (parents' paid $2232 for it.. wow) and purcahse one from TOG.
Re: TS PREFERRED DEALERS SALE: Toyota Platinum Extra Care
Believe Toyota likely covers more and service is easier to get (? without hassle). Seems like you could get a 7/100K warranty (platinum) for between 850 and 980 dollars. Your folks were "taken" in my opinion, (based on what the best Toyota warranty [platinum] can be bought for) so I hope you can cancel it.

Re: TS PREFERRED DEALERS SALE: Toyota Platinum Extra Care
Anyone out there who recently (past few weeks) received a good deal on a platinum extended warranty for Hybrid Camry (7/100k)?? Email me with particulars. Thanks, Fred
Re: TS PREFERRED DEALERS SALE: Toyota Platinum Extra Care
You should talk (email/PM) Troy...best deal out there on any vehicle. Just purchased a platinum for my 05 Tacoma from him yesterday.
By the way (off topic) I see you are in East Lansing..Go Spartans! I grew up about 5 minutes north of there in Dewitt. Get back there all the time to see my parents.

Re: TS PREFERRED DEALERS SALE: Toyota Platinum Extra Care
Hey Troy,
I sent you a pm about a quote. Look foward to hearing from you. My previous sequoia (2001 SR5) dropped a tranny at 58K and the dealer tried like hell to get out of covering it by looking at the in service date, etc etc but finally had to cover it. It was never the same after that so i had to trade it in. I hope to be able to keep this one for at least 10 years!!!!
Re: TS PREFERRED DEALERS SALE: Toyota Platinum Extra Care
I am interested in the 7yr, 100,000 mile platinum protection plan for my 05 Tundra. When looking on Toyota's website, I also saw "Prepaid Maintenance". Is this worth getting too? If so, how much does it cost? I assume with the maintenance plan they let you know what needs to be done, and they do it at no cost (at the time of maintenance performed). I don't want to ever skip something because I forgot about it.
