I am restoring this thread which was apparently deleted when the supporting vendor forum went away. This seems to be the most logical place to post it.
I am a Business Manager from a small Toyota dealership in the Northeast, and would like to extend an offer to anyone here interested, to purchase Toyota Extra Care service contract(s), also more commonly referred to as an extended warranty, at slightly over cost. NOTE: These are for the Toyota plans, not some 3rd party warranty company's, and are good nationally in the U.S. and Canada.
As an example the best and most expensive plan for a 4x4 Tundra is a 7 year 100,000 mile Platinum plan with a 0 deductible. This plan lists for $1850.00 and I can offer it for $1055.00 - Email me for a quote on any other plan you may be interested in or any other questions you may have that you don't wish to post here.
I will offer similarly discounted pricing on other models of Toyotas as well.
I can also offer Lexus Extra Care contracts on Lexus vehicles for anyone that may be interested.
Here is the link to Toyota's Financial website, which lists the plan benefits and retail pricing, as it would be too extensive for me to list everything here.
I believe the parameters are 3 years or 36,000 miles.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to siphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
If your engine doesn't consume ANY oil it will seize???
Some people should not be allowed access to tools without books!!!
Are we able to purchase these at any point for our Tundra? Or does it have to be by a certain time/mileage?

I purchased the warranty a month before the three years were up, and I had about 35,700 miles on the Tundra. Troy will let you know exactly what he needs to set up the warranty. He even recommended that I go with the 75,000 mile option due to my driving habits which saved me even more money.
MS and lgl002 are correct, Toyota requires that the vehicle is still covered under the original factory 3/36K warranty to be eligible. Otherwise, people could simply wait until they had a repair needed that cost more that the cost of the plan, and simply purchase it then. While you are still under the factory 3/36 Toyota knows that there are no pre-existing problems. I should also note that they are very strict on this, I tried everything in my power to get someone in that was only over the 3 years by 2 weeks and they would not do it.
I have a Toyota Solara with 44500 miles on it. I am in
Irving, TX and wanted to buy warranty from you as your
rate are reasonable. I think I am eligible for 50K
miles/ 4 yrs warranty. I read about you from
"Tundrasolutions", I am member of that forum. Please
let me know details about that ASAP at shailesh037@yahoo.com.
Sorry, there is no provision for upgrading existing plans.
The only way to do it, would be to cancel your current plan and then re-purchase a different one. However, your truck would still have to fall within the 3 year / 36,000 mile eligibilty window.
We got our Tundra about a month ago and the finance manager offered us a "point-of -purchase" (said it was only available at time of purchase) extended warranty for $2,200.00. We didn't bite so he reduced it by $800.00 because we belong to Costco and again by $200.00 because we had owned Toyotas previously. We didn't jump at those deals either because they were still $300.00 more than the internet 0-7-100 Honda warranty we had for the 2002 Honda Odyssey we traded in. Is your's the same plan he was offering or something different?
I also just sent you an email in more detail....but yes, it should be the exact same thing assuming your dealer was offering you a Toyota Extra Care plan.
Purchased my Tundra back in August and purchased the Gold warranty plan for around $800. I wanted the Platinum, but I am a college student and couldn't afford it at the time. Dealer told me that the point of purchase was the only time to purchase a Toyota plan and anything after was all done through a 3rd party and not as good. I was skeptical, but did not want my truck to be without a dealer warranty, so I opted for the Gold plan because it was all that I could afford. I would be interested in knowing what is involved in cancelling my warrenty and purchasing a platinum plan through you Troy?
Keep in mind that you have a 5-yr/60,000 mile factory warranty on the drivetrain...the really expensive stuff. I wouldn't consider any "Protection Plan" except the 7-yr/100,000 mile plan--and I didn't buy that.

Just recieved my application back from Troy. Got the Platinum plan for $985, just as offered. I originally purchased the 7/75,000 plan with $50 deductible through the dealership that sold me my Tundra. I cancelled that policy and the GAP insurance that they slipped into my contract and saved almost $900 by going through Troy....and with a $0 deductible plan that has 25,000 miles more coverage. I definatly recommend Troy if anyone is interested in buying the Toyota Platinum Service Agreement.
I cancelled...the GAP insurance that they slipped into my contract ....
Typical dirtbags. I was helping a friend buy a new Subaru. She had plenty down and negotiated a fair price. When the contract was printed the price had magically risen and gap insurance was added for no good reasons.
The next time I'm in a car closing, I'll get a cup of really hot coffee with lots of cream and sugar. If the "Finance Manager" sleazeball presents one of his contracts with crooked numbers, in my eagerness to correct him, I may spill the coffer into his/her lap. Oh, so sorry.
