This is a discussion thread titled "Installed Eclipse AVN 6610 in 05 DC Limited", within the GPS and Navigation Assistance forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Just wanted to let everyone know that my install of the Eclipse AVN 6610 is completed in my 2005 Tundra DC Limited. Everything works great (includung the IPOD adaptor). I'm not writing install instructions but I can answer most of the questions and help anyone out that requires it. I could not get the factory RSE to work so I'm installing an aftermarket 10" Flipdown. I did wire in the AV inputs form the back of the armrest into the Eclipse. Once again, feel free to ask questions.

Was this Plug and play or did you have to do some wiring ?

Toyota steering wheel controls are plug and play for the 6610. I have the 6610 in my truck as well, with headrest monitors. I will see about posting some pics after the 4th.
Hey Tundrasoul, your sport 07 looks sweet. I would love to get the sport, but I am married with children . My wife said I could get the crewmax next year.
Sorry for the late replys (been out of town). I'll get some pics in the next couple of days. The steering wheel controls are plug and play, I had to buy an $85 converter box that plugs in to the factory stereo plug and changes them to rca, after that I pluged in the eclipse rca output to the convertor, I had to splice the pwr, grnd, dimmer, reverse, and also the speed senor wire. So the eclipse is not really plug and play but there are instructions that are pretty simple. The converter box was to use the factory amp in the truck. The RSE will not work with aftermarket head units so I will be installing a new Flip down. The sound quality with the new head unit and factory speakers are great, for a little more bass I fiberglassed a box into the compartment under the left rear passenger seat and installed one jl 10" w0.
Maybe you have different wires behind the HU. The only wire I had to splice in, was the parking brake ground. You just add that wire to the speed sensor/reverse plug (stock) and that plugs directly in the back of the 6610. Eclipse gives you the exact same plug with the unit, but I didnt need it because it was already there. I dont have the RSE, so maybe the wiring is different.
