Default Navigation screen saver's...

I've had a few people Pm me on where did I obtain my screen saver On my navi system on my current Tundra well Achilles (Ts member) added that on my Screen since i was helping him with his Pioneer z1 on his Crew max.

To Install this Mod:

1. First go to Circuit City and buy a thin sheet of plastic made for LCD screen's.

2.Next cut the plastic to fit your navi screen ( should be around 7')

3.Next get a bowl sit the plastic film in the bowl trying to get it wet just enought to get it to attach to the screen Like glue only water vs glue...

4.Next set the plastic on the screen and get a credit card to squeegee all the remaining water behind the plastic wipe all water (h20) off and your done...

Note this mod will not affect the touch screen operation in any shape or form and this mod has a cleaner screen without finger print's.

Erik

Erik,
Thanks for this information. I'm sure it'll be useful to everyone that has a nav (OEM or aftermarket). I wish I had seen this earlier, since I already ordered a screen protector on ebay for $12. Seemed a bit expensive for a thin sheet of plastic...but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Tundra, I just stopped by a Circuit City and they didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for "thin plastic sheet made for LCD screens". By chance do you have the actual name of the product? I checked both Best Buy and Circuit City and they seem to only have small screen protectors for phone and PDA LCDs. Any suggestions would be welcome.
