This is a discussion thread titled "Garmin Friction Mount in new Tundra", within the GPS and Navigation Assistance forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Update: Got my Nuvi 660 and friction mount today and they both work great!!! No need to permanent mount or suction mount or adhesive mount.... just stick it on my dash and go!

What I like better about the Nuvi over the Nav on my Lexus, the Nuvi has the 3d view, which I like better than the 2d overhead view on the Lexus/Toyota Nav. Also the text to speech function on the Nuvi announces the street names, "Turn right on Main Street" instead of, "in 50 feet, turn right", on the Lexus/Toyota Nav. And your passenger can enter a new destination without coming to a complete stop.

I just picked up the Navman ICN 330 from woot.com during a woot off. $130. Works very nice and the features are great. Since I have the bench seats in my Cm, I used the suction on the dashboard. Doesn't look crazy and is easy to see.
I do have a question. I have one item plugged into my cig lighter and the GPS plugged into the other (right next to it). I noticed that the light on the charger is staying on when I turn off the truck. Is this serious enough to drain my battery?
