I have searched all over and cant seem to find how to unlock the Navigation on my 2007 Tundra so that I can enter a destination while Im driving. This is getting so annoying because when my wife's in the car she can't even dial a phone number on the number pad or change our Destination if we get stuck in 5mph traffic. Please help.
Nice truck. Well the answer to your question is right there on the right side of your steeering wheel. the face with a voice on it. Anyhow since your limitied is just like mine do what i do. While driving push that button and say address and then it will ask for state,city,street,and # then say enter destination and viola! and you can pick routes while driving. voice recognition is very good! try it you will love it

As much as I love the voice recognition, it isn't perfect and just isn't the answer. Takes like 10 minutes to enter an address.
Sorry to hear it doesnt work for you It's hard to do anything while driving in NYC. Cabbies cut you of and peds run out in the middle of the street so the vioce system is a lifesaver for me. I'll watch the thread, if a good mod comes maybe I'll try it.
To stop the lengthy verbal instructions do the following:
Press the 'MENU' panel button.
Touch 'SETUP'
Scroll down to page 2/3.
Touch 'OFF' for Voice Recognition Guidance.
Touch 'OK' at the bottom right.
Once you have followed these steps no more voice prompts for state, city, street or house number when inputting an address via voice recognition.... just a beep.
