Default Boring question about after market nav system

Just got my truck the other day. It has the lousy factory stereo. I am going to put nav in it but was wondering if the ASP function would still work or do after markets units have the same feature. I really enjoy that feature so it would be cool to keep it.

Thanks in advance for your replies.
