Instructions for installing an OEM Nav in your '07 w/JBL
Alright, I finally got the info needed to install a factory Nav (E7013) in your '07 Tundra with a JBL system. It looks like it gets pretty involved but yet simple wiring. I will let you know how the install goes on my truck and try to give any tips. Some of you might want to have your local professional do the install. I know it would be alot cheaper to go aftermarket but my personal likes is to have a factory look with all the factory functions.

The Mic Connector part # is 90980-12404. Thats the U.S. part number, I was able to get that from my local Parts Dept. ($6.00). The Aux Steering Harness is C0069-33010-W2 which is the Canadian part number. My local parts dept. wasn't able to locate or convert the part number ($45.00).

Finally got everything installed today. It went pretty good. Taking apart the dash, removing the glove box etc was easier than I thought and definately worth the time. Took about half a day with several interruptions. Everthing works like it should. As for the camera, I ran some 16/4 speaker wire from the overhead down the right side pillar and across the support bar with the reverse sensor wire. The wires connect into the mic connector. The wiring at the mic connector goes as following: Black to pin #24, white to pin #21. red to pin #22 and grey to pin #23. Don't worry about the rest of the wires in the factory installed wiring harness in the overhead counsole, they must be for power, ground etc. of the monitor. As far as running the wires into the mic connector: I bought a wiring harness for the audio on a cd rom drive for a computer. If you can find just the pins all the better. The pins fit perfectly into the mic connector. The speaker wire had white, black, red and green wires. I simply matched the green to the gray and then red to red, white to white and black to black. As for the overhead counsole I have temporarily removed the four pins and wires from the harness, stripped the speaker wire back and wrapped the speaker wire around the pins with a generous amount of electrical tape around them. Ideally I would like to make my own plug, if this is too tuff then I will simply cut the pins of the red, white, black and grey wires, twist them with the speaker wires and cap them off with some connectors.

gdbuilders,
So with the backup camera, you were able to get it to display on the NAV instead of the overhead tiny screen by running and connecting those extra wires?

The backup camera connector (RSE Unit) plugs directly into the AVN-S, no additional wires required. See Section 9., p.27 illustration. Yes, it replaces the overhead video display function.

Hey all I am working on a friends 2008 Toyota Seq and wanted to know if we can buy the rear view camera from Toyota and hack that into an Pioneer Z1 Navigation. Yea this Seq doesn't have it and to be very honest aftermarket is better feature wise vs what Toyota provides on Navigation. What I like to do is mainly get thing's looking stock rear view camera and all..
I've worked on a 2007 Tundra Crewmax but not the new Seq yet..

What color wire was the wire where you jumped the camera from.
The easiest way to get what you need will be to bring the camera wires down from the overhead console there is a spare connector on the left side with all the camera connections. Plus there is a reverse wire save you running to the kick trim.
Remember always check the wires with a meter just in case the colors have been changed on your model as you don't want to send 12VDC into the camera input.
White brings ground to the camera
Black brings supply voltage to the camera
Red is video positive
Grey is video negative
Then on the back of the head unit
Colors and pins as follows
Pin 21 is the camera’s ground.
Pin 24 is supply voltage for camera
Pin 22 is the positive lead for the video signal
Pin 23 is the negative lead for the video signal
I have an AUX harness for sale here or you will need a Canadian dealer but most wont send parts to the US (I called a good few of them)
Also you will need a connector for the reverse and speed sensors get your self a CD ROM audio cable from a PC and move the pins to the right position it will cost you about $1 the Toyota one with the cable will cost you around $50 again from Canada if you can get it, you can also use the pins from these connectors to fit into the connector on the back of the NAV to connect the camera etc. You just lift the plastic tabs and the pins slip out.
Remember this is a 4 pin not 5 pin so make sure you are connecting to the correct 2 pins on the NAV
