Default Will the NAV 7.1 DVD work in a 2003 LX470?

Has any one tried to copy their 7.1 dvd and use it in another vehicle's NAV unit? I wonder if editing the disc like Joe1L1 described would allow the older vehicle to access the functions while moving?

While on the subject, does anyone have any thoughts on which is the preferable route to gain access to the functions while moving - the software editing route or the speed pulse generator route?

Thank you for your help.
