what do you mean open? Just so to look at the files on the DVD? You may try to high light the DVD on explorer and right click and you should have a list of option for you to view or something...

...just my opinion, but hell, if you don't know who to "open" the files, more than likely you don't know how to "fix" the problem..

it's not the problem to open he dvd but more to read the dvd in a normaly computer.

I want to get some country's of it

It's a europeen dvd of a prius who also fix in my new toyota tundra. The problem is that my contry is on the 2 field and i can't get there. So i want to skip some country's where i will never come and than burn the whole thing on a dvd.

i have both the original dvd's so its not for selling or something.

if i go to poi of my country than i see my country but to select a dress of my country i must come in the 1st field.

please someone to know

You have to set the search area you are driving in. I believe for the U.S there are 10 search areas. For California (my search area), you have to set it to US2. If you dont set it for that area you are in, it wont give you nav directions. I have the eclipse 6610, but the eclipse and the Factory Nav's are almost the same. Your owners manual should tell/show you how to set the search area. I have had the Factory Nav and now the Eclipse and I dont know of a program for the computer that will run either disc. You can download the files from the dvd to the computer and burn them but thats about it. If you need directions on how to set the search area, pm me or post it, and I will get them to you.

Hi,

Thanks for your information. What i want to do is to use the europeen dvd for the tundra. I have a original dvd of a prius but in the prius you got 2 fields to choose about wich country you are. And my country is on the second field.

But by the nav of toyota Tundra i can't get there normaly in the Prius its no problem. But i bought a new tundra and wants to use the same navi also in the tundra so i can use it in Europe and also the back camera.

Now i'want to trie to skip some country's of the dvd and than burn it again so i only have to use the 1st field and also my country.

Iff i go to the poi i can navigate normaly towards the poi's in my country but a normaly adres i cant get. Thats the biggest problem.
And a other navi i'ts also a problem because i want to use the back cam also. Because thats a very fine and clear cam.
Maybe you or someone know how to handle orknow how to skip some country's

Or knows how te country's been named at. or the extensions named at the dvd. So i can trie to skip them

John

I have sent you the instructions for changing the search area. If it still doesnt work or you cant change, you will probably have to get the instructions from toyota. You cant use the computer to burn only the areas you want, the disc wont work. Good luck
