This is a discussion thread titled "Best place for the GPS Antenna", within the GPS and Navigation Assistance forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I am installing a AVIC D3 and for the NAV system the antenna need to find a home! In the install book they suggest the trunk lid(don't have one), Rear shelf(don't have one), and Roof.
Now i am not one to have wires hanging around in my truck and has anyone easily been capable of mounting it on to the roof? is there a better location on the truck for it?
Help me out fellas!

I put mine under the dash but it didn't work. Then I just poped the middle speaker cover out and ran the wire and put the little metal sticker on the dash. works fine and don't have to run wire everywhere.
