Default avn2454 service manual

This forum has helped me out in the past, so I wanted to offer a copy of the avn2454 service manual to those that need it. I had to recently fix my Head Unit after some very nice individuals saw fit to attempt and remove it from my car. Unfortunately, they were a bit careless and damaged the display gears and cable. I realize that they were just trying to assist me, but I think I will pass on there help next time. Yes, the alarm is now installed. Eclipse will no longer send you a copy. It must be purchased for 15 dollars with a 8 dollar shipping fee. Nice. After that, my parts cost a whopping 9 dollars and 65 cents. Once again, a nice 8 dollar shipping fee added. It was nice to fix the unit, but I do feel that a service manual should be available to anyone that needs it at no extra charge. Even my stove has a 15 year old service manual located on its web site. I will have the manual scanned into adobe by sunday. If anyone would like a copy emailed, then I can be reached at mikegett@msn.com. If anyone knows of a website I can place it on for a download link, then I would be more than willing to do that as well. Thanks, and I have appreciated your help in the past. Mike G.

I was also a victim of an attempted theft. They pulled off my screen but left everything except the install kit trims intact. The one ribbon cable that attaches the screen to the unit itself is out and I can't for the life of me get it back in. The rollers on top were bent but apparently easy to straighten out.

If you could email me a copy of the SM, that would be great! Do you have any tips on how to get the map DVD and/or CD out? I near disassembled the entire top of the unit (pulling off the front face and top plate but can't find a way to do it! If you could offer any tips on how to get the screen ribbon cable back, I'd appreciate that too!

I emailed you, so hopefully I can also get mine fixed. I miss nav!
