Sorry, here's a bigger photo too. I stuck the disk right over that plastic switch hole insert that fills the hole if there's no switch in that spot. Works good.

I stuck mine on the flip top ashtray lid, it angles up OK and I can pick the whole assembly up and drop it (complete with 12v cord) into the center console. I chose to go this route to avoid unplugging the unit and to avoid wires dangling.

Here is what I have decided to mount it for the meantime. I used the suction only and not the sticky attachment. I am thinking of getting a vent clip mount later when I get tired of this set up. And also it is not really on the way of reaching some of the functions from the dash.
