Default Nav upgrade DVD

I have an e7006 with a v6.1 dvd. Can I upgrade to v7.1? Are there different discs for the 4th gen Nav and 5th gen Navs? Do I specifically need a 4th gen v7.1 DVD, or would any 7.1 dvd work? Thanks.

Paul

Check out this thread:

I got the DVD disc (modified 7.1 version) that is talked about, and really enjoy being able to use all the functions while rolling down the highway...

I second this!! 7.1 mapping with the ability to use your navi while rolling down the highway.

E7006 = GEN4

The map disc part number is 86271-3304X. The higher the last digit the newer the map disc.

Same here, the thread for the modified disk is gone. What gives? I've done a forum search and it's as if it never existed.

Gen4 Nav uses U20(5.1v), or U21(6.1v), or U22(7.1v)
Gen5 Nav uses U30(5.1v), or U31(6.1v), or U32(7.1v)

Hope that helps

Probably because he was selling copyrighted materials from NAVTEQ and TeleAtlas. And he might be visted by the FBI too. Whomever bought the disc is probably on their list too.

How do you tell if you have a 4th or 5th Gen Nav?

If you have 2007 Tundra, then you should have Gen5 Navigation.

Does anyone know where I can buy a U22(7.1v) DVD? I've been looking for some time but can't seem to find a vendor anywhere online.
