Default Operating Navigation Unit without Map DVD

Hey all, I just got a 2007 Tundra Crewmax Limited with the E7013 navi unit. My problem is the truck didn't come with the Map DVD & the navi manual and now the unit displays

"NO DVD"
"Please insert Map DVD"

Is there anyway of overriding this and just using the audio system. No button works except that I hear a sound when I press the menu and audio keys.

PS: I have the truck in Ghana, west Africa so ordering the DVD will take at least 2weeks plus I have no need for it. Just bought the car with the unit because of the display and rear view camera.

Thanks and I hope someone helps me quick. Tired of using my cell for music.

Answer is no.

You need Map dvd to load software on your Radio in order to work.
After radio software is loaded, you no longer need map dvd to use.

Every time you will disconect battery, you will need that map dvd again.

Thanks alot. I just downloaded a Gen. 3 torrent. Any advice on how I can burn it so the system can read it?

Gen 3 will not work, You need Gen 5 in order to make it work.
