Default Pioneer z3 or Avic f90bt

Help, I have a Tundra in need of a Navi/dvd unit. Looking for some advice. Thinking about the Pioneer z3 or a pioneer avic F90bt. But a Alpine or a Kenwood, ect.. is possible. Thanks

I have the Pioneer Avic 7010BT same thing as 700BT. It all depends on what you want the system to do. Also, how much do you want to spend. F90BT have the same capabilty, but does not have huge hard drive that Z3 does. Mine does not have DVD playback capabilty, but it is fine with me. Last thing i want to do is create an accident because I was watching a movie. Check out the AVIC411 forum and it will give you a better idea of what people like and dislike about the systems. Also, check out pioneer website to see each product in detail. I can tell you that the XM interface for the pioneer units is better than the Sirius sat radio interface. There will be map upgrades supposedly sometime in the spring by tele atlas who was just bought by Tom Tom. Good luck on you decision.

The biggest difference I see between the two is, the Z3 has a hard drive and the Nav. Can be voice opperated. The F series is a newer model line and does not have these features. Is that because of problems with the voice part, I can see getting away with the hard drive becase of the popularity of Ipod. Also the f90bt has bluetooth standard. Thanks again, I guess if anyone with a Z3 could share there thoughts that might help.

The only voice activation mine has is for the telephone. It uses the microsoft sync technology which has its owns issues every now and then. I don't have an Ipod because I have 8gig SD card with over 1000 mp3s on it. I can watch videos from the SD card also. I have the option of USB and Ipod which it has the connections for, but I have not bothered to try them yet. I know that you can watch movies from your Ipod on the Avic Fseries. My bluetooth works great with my phone, but I hear that the bluetooth has issues with some phones. Check out the avic411 forums.

I have the Z3 and it's great. Voice commands for just about every feature. Blue tooth is great the backup camera is great and the built in hard drive is great. Off course the Blue tooth, Camera, and Ipod cable are add ons. I also have a steering wheel remote control that runs the HU as well.
