trying to add oem JBL nav to 2008 tundra limited - Toyota Tundra Forums : Tundra Solutions Forum

I bought a 2008 tundra limited. I want to add the oem navigation to it. I have the nav unit and the gps anntenna. Everything seems to work except the turn by turn directions. I checked with the nav settings and this feature is turned on. I took it to the dealer and they had no answer why it did not work. I have a couple questions.
1. Where is the factory gps antenna mounted under the dash.
2. Can you add oem navigation to a 08 tundra if it was not put on at the factory?
3. why does my turn by turn directions voice directions not work?

Someone please help me!!!

I attached a picture of where the factory GPS antenna goes.

Make sure the ""Auto Voice Guidance" is ON
Make sure the "Voice Guidance in All Modes is ON

The repair manual says if this isnt working properly to CHANGE the DISK, and if thats not it there is a problem in the receiver.

Thanks for the info. I checked everything and the voice command is on in all modes. Do you know what connections on the back of the radio should have connectors in them?

what exact vehicle is the Nav unit from, it usually depends on the accessories like steering controls, back up camera. I need to know what it is out of to look up the wiring

the 08 Tundra looks like it has 5 connectors
K5,K6/K7/K8/K18 and K21 (see attachment)
I put * above the connectors

Your missing at least 3 connectors and the stock radio wires have things like the speed sensor wire and microphone wires in different locations. Your going to have to get more connectors and rewire it......lots of work

I'm assuming you have installed the Toyota E7013 radio. You not getting voice guidance because you need to install the speed and reverse harness connections once you have these connections then it will start to work.

I talke to him on the phone and sent an e-mail to keopcorp with prices and wire schematics of which wires have to be moved and added to the other 3 connectors
