Default OEM Navi Microphone Issue

Hello everyone, this forum is unbelieveable with the amount of information on it.

I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra Limited Double Cab that came with bluetooth and the JBL radio installed from the factory. And I had decided to install the E7013 OEM Navigation radio with the rear camera. I have everything installed and everything works perfectly with the exception of one item. "The Microphone" is not working. And yes I swapped the pins as it to the mic plug and still no luck, and I have verified that all the pins are pushed in all the way. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in Advanced.

Default Re: OEM Navi Microphone Issue

I have run into a similar problem with the exception that when I installed my nav the mic worked perfect. People on the other end of the call couldn't tell I was on a hands free. Then I started having complaints that said I sounded like I was in a tin can and then times that the mic simply didnt work. In my case I think my wires just came loose. As for your case I would say that it is possible they are in the wrong slots. When you look at the diagram it is easy to get things backwards. When I did mine it took awhile examining the diagram and the actual harness to get it straight, but I still wasn't 100% that I had it right.

If you still have the old radio, I would try plugging the harnesses back into that radio and test the mic. If things got mixed up in the placement of wires in the new harness, you could have damaged the mic.
