I meant about the Picture part. How did you figure out that the pictures may keep it from working. I have some that I have pics attached and never thought of this.

I am going to remove them and see if that does it.

Nice.

I'll see if this will work on mine with the BB8330.

Edit:

Yes, it worked, get rid of the pics and the Blackberry 8330 will data transfer the phone book. Took about 5 minutes but it worked! SWEET!

Hi AVN 726E owners !

Recently found this threat Googling for a solution to a bluetooth phonebook problem with this unit. We currently use Windows Mobiles phones (HTC Touch HD, HTC Touch Diamond & Sony Xperia) with similar problems.

I found (after a tip from an acquaintance) the solution to the problem mentioned earlier in the thread - that you need to remove contact pics to allow contacs to be pushed to the device.

I've also found that when you push a contact with multiple phone numbers (eg home, mobile, work, etc = most of our contacts), only one number registers in the phonebook. Someone suggested re-creating Outlook contacts with a separate entry for each number, which is not really practical. Anyone found a way to get the phonebook to sync/receive Outlook contacts with multiple numbers ? Unfortunately, the Parrott Hands Free kit (just removed) used to handle all of this just fine.

Cheers.

Hey guys. Can anyone with a AVN726E help me out with a quick question?

I'm looking into using the unit's A/V input with a CarPC. I noticed in the Crutchfield description that they say you need to have the e-brake on AND the car not be moving. If I bypass the e-brake lock, will it still lock out the unit's AV input because of the GPS sensing movement?

Thanks

I dont have anything hooked into the av in, but i do have the ebrake bypass switch and everything works fine while driving (dvd and nav input. I dont see why the av input would be any different.

Yep just like normal - mine is grounded out to the side of the system.

You need to ground the parking brake wire. I just attached it to the ground wire from the unit, that's all it takes.

I don't think it's light green though, I thought it was purple and white???

Purple might be the reverse wire... Been a while since I installed mine... Just ground the Parking brake wire whatever color it is.

I have a question. My 2010 already has the BT Telephone mic built in the roof. Do I have to install a new mic for it to work or can I use the factory one Toyota provided with it? Also will all of my steering wheel buttons work with this unit? The volume/mode/ track select/ dial/ hang up/ and the command button?

I purchased the Eclipse AVN726E 3-4 weeks ago and the GPS usually takes anywhere from 2-4 minutes to acquire the satellites (TTFF). Anyone had this problem with the AVN726E or know how to improve TTFF? The only thing I know of is to move the antenae.
