there are two way's to get a net signal on the road.Currently I think sprint has the best method because data on the network is free on there plan but you have to get a cell network card which can be used on there network. Also bluetooth is another route to go and the price on bluetooth is coming down however i havent used it yet.I had A net connection a few year's ago in witch i had a labtop and had a network pci card from sprint wile is worked really well the wole trip from georgia to florida the speed was less then 56k (more like 28k or 32 on uploading technology really hasnt improved on this presently but it's getting worked on)

Actually, you can add a mic and push button kit (about $50) and regain the use of the NAV commands while underway by using the voice control. This is what I am planning to retrofit into my '05 Tundra DC Limited with JBL.

Now if I can just find a way to get the Bluetooth working with the Nav unit (it works in the Lexus and Prius versions, and they are all very similar and use the same harnesses AFAIK)
