Thanks

Yes you can watch DVDs on the 2005 DC factory nav... if you also have the rear entertainment option. Just pop a dvd in the dvd player for the rear and press the disc button on your nav... you will need to press in the emergency brake to have the picture come up.
If your picture still does not come up, then you need to press the audio button and select picture... it should work fine after that... as long as you don't mind stopping and putting on the e-brake.
I just bought a 2005 Limited DC 4x4 w/ nav & rear entertainment this weekend.

Any info about getting rid of the caution screen and eliminating the ebrake safety feature.

I have 2006 Sequoia ltd. with entertainment system and navi. I agree with you on being able to watch video in navi when handbrake is applied, however I dont think there is any way to watch video in navi while driving. Did anyone figured this out on how to watch video in factory navi when driving?

if pulling the handbrake will work, why don't you try grounding the handbrake wire??

i tried that with my tundra and it worked when i was stoped but as soon as i started driving it would switch back to the map and as soon as i stoped it would go to dvd so i think its also conected in some way to the navigation. but the coastal tech harness took care of that
