Default Gen 3 Nav Overide

I just read the following two posts on the ClubLexus forum. If someone with a gen 3 nav can check this out and clarify the instructiions, it may be of interest to people with 2004 and earlier nav systems. You have to hold the Overide button for about 15 seconds and then back out of the screen. I have a gen 4 nav (05 Tundra) and the instructions posted earlier for overiding and enabling anytime nav was extremely helpful.

First Post:
To get to the menu on the gen3 nav systems. Go to the system options screen, touch the top left of the screen, bottom left of the screen, top left of the screen, bottom left of the screen, then the bottom right. You get a menu almost like the gen4, which also has the override option.

Second Post:
Touch the DVD button from the menu screen, then follow the above directions.

This does indeed work on the unit that I bought from OEMValue in March 2004.

This didn't work with the 04 Camry Nav system I purchased from OEMValue. After much Googling, I did find something that worked on my unit:

1. Press the Menu hard button.
2. Press the Volume soft button.
3. Press the upper left corner of the screen.
4. Press the lower left corner of the screen.
5. Press the upper left corner of the screen.
6. Press the lower left corner of the screen. You should now be into the "hidden" Service menu.
7. Press and hold the Override button until it beeps.
8. Press the Back button to return to navigation.

From this point until the car is turned off you will have full access to the Destinations menu while the car is in motion. I also verified that the above steps don't need to be performed with the car stopped. You can enter the override mode while moving!

You have a Gen 4 NAV as used in the 05 models.

Oops... correction... my unit does access from the volume menu, not system options... same as your '04 Camry unit.
