Default Upgrading Landcruiser Navigation System

I have a 2001 Landcruiser running navigation software 2000 ver 1. According to the Technical Service Bulletin this is a Generation 2 system. What I can't find is what I have to do to upgrade this software and what DVD version is compatible. Can anyone help?

I have a 2004 LandCruiser and have the same issue. I purchased the 2005 Update Ver 5.1 and can't get it to load in. Can anyone help?

You will need to contact a Toyota dealer to get info on the disc versions. The Toyota NAV units are made by Fujitus Ten, which also makes the Eclipse units, but the map DVD's are not interchangeable.
Toyota would be the only place to get an upgraded DVD (if one exists).

For the 2004 Landcruiser the DVD part number should be 86271-3304x. The last digit should be either a 3 or 4. The key is the last digit before the x... the number 4 - this is for GEN 4 navigation system.

If the disc you bought doesn't match this protocol, it is worthless to you. I imagine you have an 86271-3303x which is for GEN 3.
