Default can avn5435 play DVD-R or DVD+R movies

Hi,
I have avn5435, but can't play DVD-R or DVD+R movies? anyone know why? what do I need to do...can avn5510 play DVD-R movies?
please help ...thank you

I've burned many movies onto DVD+R and had no issues playing them. Look in the manual. I think there is mention of disc and file types that are supported on the AVN units.

what kind software r u using to backup the DVD? I am using 1ClickDVDcopy
