Default Voice nav speaker install on E7001

Hey guys,

I just installed a Radio Shack amplified speaker in my 04 DC with the E7001 nav unit, however, even with the sound level turned all the way up I can just barely hear the voice.

Does anyone know if this is because the voice output is digital and I just installed an analog speaker? My gut is telling me this might be the issue...

Thanks for all the help and any comments.

Keith

Does (ebonics corrected) it have an output strength adjustment on it?

No volumn control on the speaker... I'm going to try another amp'd speaker from an Ipod and see what happens.

Thanks,
KC
