Night Illumination wire is hooked up

Hi,
Is it true that if you hook up the Night Illumination wire, your anv5435 will die faster?

i talking to the install guy at circuit city, and he said he dont hook up the illumi wire, because if he hook up, the screen will burn out faster!

That's just ridiculous! He just didn't want to hook it up.
If anything it would be easier on the screen since it turns to black in night mode.

Find a new installer.
