Default Eclipse AVN 6600 problems

Hello guys I need help

I just had a eclipse AVN 6600 & 2 Power Acquostik 9 inch headrest monitors installed and I have some problems.

THe dvd on the headunit plays fine but my headrest monitors screen says "no signal" and the screen is blue.

Here's more:

The headunit can do navigation and dvd at the same time.

The dvd player on the actual headunit works but the headrests dont.

I screwed around with the owners manual and I still get no picture

The HIGHLY irritating thing is that I had the head unit and the monitors installled in a car audio shop the sells eclipse head units.

When they initially installed the head unit and monitors they made me come back a week later (today) beacuse they had to order from eclipse ($40) a video input or output (not sure)cable sprecifically for eclipse head units. They said that this was the reason for the "no signal" and "blue screen" from the headrest monitors. When I came back today and they installed this cable, the headrest monitors had the exact same "no signal & blue screen as b/4.

I have a feeling that it may have been installed incorrectly the first time and they just didn't know what they were doing. Did I really need this "input plug" ???

My install that I paid top dollar for went very poorly and I'm not happy with the level of professionalism and how I was treated. From afar I watched the employees and the install guys and I didn't think they were too sharp.

Now I have to go ALL THE WAY back this Monday. He says he will call some get at another location who has detailed knowledge of eclipse avn 6600's to give him an idea of what may be wrong.

For the record I did by the AVN 6600 (used but in almost new condition) head unit off E-Bay and I bought my headrest monitors online (brand new power acquostik). They said they had no problem installing my stuff. I talked to them in great detail b/4 I purchased anything.

Again the eclipse 6600 is a unit that has 2 dvd's. One for the GPS map and 1 for CD/DVD.

If you remove the GPS DVD you can have 2 movies going, one on the headunit screen and another dvd signal going to the headrest monitors.

If anyone can provide any additional info I'm all ears.

I'm very appreciative for any input.

I've just shelled out a TON of money and my headrest monitors still aren't working

Ok first of all, your information is completely wrong. (I have the avn-6600 with 2 headrest monitors) You cannot play 2 different movies at the same time from the HU only, I will explain this further down. The DVD nav slot is ONLY for the DVD nav disc, it does not play dvd movies. The 6600 has a dual zone feature, this lets you play movies in the rear zone (headrests, also called RSE, rear seat entertainment) or the front zone (head unit) or both together. You may also play movies in the rear zone (with either radio or IR headsets, if equipped) and listen to your ipod, radio, or if you have an external video source (ie: tv tuner), watch this in the front zone. If you buy the dvd remote, your passengers in the rear can control the dvd player functions. You must turn this feature on (in the setup menu), for this to work. The connections for the video output for the rear zone, are your basic rca connections (red, white, yellow), so no special plugs are required. You will need a splitting T for the 2 monitors. I love this unit, and would recommend it to anyone, especially over my stock toyota nav unit. If you have any other questions, you can post them, or email me directly and I will do my best to help you out.
