This is a discussion thread titled "Traffic Question", within the GPS and Navigation Assistance forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I cant be completely sure about the 07 factory nav's, but my eclipse 6610, uses sirius traffic integrated with the Nav unit to display accidents and traffic alerts directly on the screen. Eclipse makes the factory toyota navs, so might be the same setup.
I dont think the OEM nav in the US has live detours, you have to program the detour in there manually, at least thats how it is on my e7009 with 6.1 maps
I am re-organizing my pictures, please PM me if you find dead pictures and I'll fix it. Also, I don't have many pics in my account here, best place to view my truck is on photobucket: Here is my photobucket account: LINK

Hi,
does "Eclipse" have an official website? (telephone number?) I need to look at the models to see if they match mine in the car. I see I have verison 6.1 of the software.
I have v6.1 (navigation) for my 2007 Solara SLE convertible. I see in the manual mentioning detours around traffic conditions.
How are traffic, accidents road closing, etc.., being transmitted to my navigation system?
Also, can these conditions be monitored even if you have not set a destination?
thanks all,
Alan Russell
XM Nav Traffic is not available for the 07MY Solara. The only detour available is for 'Avoid Areas'. For this feature you have to manually set the areas to avoid driving in.

Thanks,
you were the only one on this planet to answer this inquiry.
BTW, I've got my Garmin Nuvi 660 on the 2007 VERTS windshield for the realtime traffic. So I'm all covered now!
