As far as I know it only works with windows for mobile 5.0 or pocket pc 2003. Upon ordering, you should let them know what mods you have installed. As I said, they may have the perfect map for your mods, or a map that will be very close to max performance. I'm not sure of any pricing yet on flux.

I just spoke with Mike Timmons of Unichip on the phone. They are still trying to locate a 4.7 to work on. If anyones close, give Unichip a call, or let me know personally. Can anyone confirm if the ecu harness is the same on the 4.7 and 5.7? If so, that will speed up the process and they hope to have it ready in two weeks. They are working on fine tuning shift points and traction control features. Mike is leary of posting whp numbers because of the potential for people to not believe them and say that they were fudged on the dyno. He says his crank numbers are very accurate. He is instead going straight to the track with the Tundra! He will eventually post dyno numbers, but he wants to show 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers first. He told me so far they are seeing an increase of half a second in 0-60 runs on a STOCK tundra. Us DC owners may very well hit stock RC numbers with this tuner!

He also said that they will be updating the firmware to allow end user tunability via PDA OR laptop soon. He said once the limiter is removed, the map will be downloadable free of charge! They will update maps as necessary. Let's say we need to get reflashes from toyota for whatever reason. Unichip will make any updates and release the new maps for free. You can't beat this tuner guys!

hi,
each unichip will be specific to each order. no cookie cutter.
it has to be set up for your mod's.

if you want to further tune it, you need to go to a authorized unchip shop with a dyno.
that is also listed on the unichip web site.

it is not hard to install at all.
a 10mm wench to disconnect the battery terminal.
and a skrew driver.

go to unichip's web site. many questions are answered there.
including the difference between the standard unit, with a A & B switch.
and
the power flux display module. this unit will be more money for sure, because of what it does. that is also on there web site. if you read there web page, you will indeed understand why.

simply put, there are several air intake map's you need to know and tell them what you have.
only 1 header map- it is for every type of headers.
only 1 cat back exhaust map , that is also for every type of cat back exhaust.

like i said as far as the install, it should take 1 hour. from start to finish.

it should take 30 to 50 miles for the ecu to fully adjust.
just as it would once the batery is disconnected. it relearn's.

but , immediatly you will notice the difference.
at least 1 did, on my 2005 VVTI 4.7iforce V8

nola the answer to your question would have to come from a toyota service tech.
a ASE mechanic for toyota to confirm if the 4.7 is the same as a 5.7.

but if you asked me, i would say NO!
they are much different, due to many factor's, such as:
timing, fuel/air ratio's, and whatever else the ECU unit control's.

TS do have a few member's here that are ASE certified toyota mechanic's.

It comes pretuned for your specific mods, such as Air Intake, Headers, Dual Exhaust. If you want it CUSTOM tuned after the original tune, you must go to a UNA authorized dealer/shop. It is NOT possible to do at any old shop.

Again, it will come pre-tuned for your truck, as long as you give them the required details that they ask for.

Again, unichip is working on the speed limiter removal as well as a few other nice features. They are already seeing a half second off 0-60 times stock and they're not done fine tuning. This tuner will be as smooth as butter with all of the resources they are putting into it. The Tundra is one, of if not the, top priority for Unichip. They realize how big our market is. hi, once that you have conformation,and many can call UNICHIP to confirm that indeed the limitor's are and will be disabled,

thats what i'm waiting for, and believe me , i will call jack to confirm.
since i don't need 2 of the same.

than i will have it custom tuned. and i'm sure i will reach 350HP. :-)
