Also, the base units are upgradeable, so it won't be and additional $1,000 if you have the base unit. The Flux upgrade may cost an extra $350 or so.

Unichip is actively looking for a 4.7 donor truck. I have been told that once one is found, it will not take very long to map. As far as gains, you can look at the gains made by Gorilla on his 4.7 '06 Tundra. There is a link to his dyno in this thread. If I were a 4.7 owner, I would jump in on this GB. By the time it closes, the unit may be ready. At the very least, you guarantee yourself the lower price even if you have to wait an extra couple of weeks. No other tuner is currrently working on the 4.7 as far as I know. They are located in Oregon I believe. If any 4.7 owners are in Oregon, give them a call!

Is the availability time for these still at the end of July?

Will the order be placed at that time? (assuming there is already 50 people who agreed to purchase them)

Or will the order be placed immediately after 50 people agree to the deal?

The projected availability time is towards the end of July. I have kindly asked them to try to speed it up a week or two if possible. They are waiting on outside parts vendors to supply components needed for the tuner. The components themselves are on backorder nationwide. This group buy is only proposed right now. Its not an official group buy until all 50 slots are filled. Once that happens I will contact my rep at Unichip to begin taking orders. I'll let everyone know the logistics. Once the harnesses are available, we'll be first in line to receive them. Anyone ordering for models other than the 07 & 08 Tundra will probably receive their tuners first, since they aren't on backorder.

as you know i have my unichip installed already and LOVE IT!
but i don't need 2 of the same.
so i wouldn't jump and clsoe the GB, until that extremely huge question is answered, it can triple the amount of buyiers. for years now,many have been waiting for such a item.

You have to figure they have the TRD cai listed, and I am hoping they tested it with the Gibson single. The end of July seems a long way off...1 day down.

i know for the 05 4.7 V8 VVTI they have these,
now maybe more?
if they had a truck to help map another intake, they would do it.
but when i bought mine a few months ago there were these intakes available for the 2005 4.7 VVTI :
stock box w/stock filter
stock box with a drop in aftermarket filter example K & N or true flow
and
volant cai
that was it at that time.
maybe now they might have added some other intakes.
but all headers
and
all cat back mapping are exactly the same. only 1 map for each.
that's why i switched from K&N cai, to VOLANT cai.

I'm confused...as usual when it comes to something like this...sorry.

I've got the 07 with a 5.7. It has the Tundra air kit with the K&N and dual factory exhaust.

They have a st up for this? If they do I'm in. Can someone let me know so I can do the count me in thingy at the top of the page?
