Proposed Group Buy: Unichip P&P Tuner For 07+ Tundra & All Toyo Trucks & Suvs

This group buy is for the new Unichip Plug & Play Tuner for the 07+ Tundra as well as ALL Toyota trucks and SUV's including 1st gen Tundra's. The minimum number of units required for group buy pricing is 50. The price has been set at $599.00 for a savings of nearly $200. The harnesses for the 07+ Tundra are on backorder until the end of July, however, units are available for other models. This should give us more than enough time to get to 50 units. I know the 4.7 engine is supported, but I'll verify if they have a harness for the Tundra 4.7

A few more questions answered. The big wigs at Unichip are excited about this group buy guys!

Are you going to do a map for the 07+ TRD supercharged trucks?
If there’s sufficient interest in the GB wanting kits for the TRD SC application, we’ll do it. If there’s a member in the local area here with a TRD SC 5.7L truck, let’s get them in here for some tuning at a discounted rate.

Timeframe?
If we do it, they can be ready to go in time for shipment with the rest of the GB

What is the typical mpg increase?
We’re doing an extended mileage test right now. Under load, I’d expect nice gains based upon what we’re seeing; when we have sufficient data, we’ll be happy to publish it

Can the Unichip adjust shift points?
We’ve done it in various applications and the Unichip has the capability but it’s not something we’ve done to this point. Generally by making more power, the shift points take care of themselves.

I know it can't remove the speed limiter, correct?
The Unichip has the capability, but we haven’t to this point. It may well add to the cost of the kit because extra components may be required to tie into additional sensors.

I'm interested in 1 for the tundra. I assume that it would come with a cookie cutter tune for each of our current setups. Lets work on getting enough people on the bandwagon so we are not waiting many months to get the required 50+.

I'm hoping we can close this out in a week or two, call me optimistic Unichip is testing many different intake and exhaust combo's and creating maps for them, so if you have a popular setup, you will get a tune specific to your setup. However a little safety will be built in. If you want the max hp, you'll need to get it tuned for your truck.

Will this affect warranty in any way? Can it be removed if taken to the dealer so as it is not detectable? If dyno sheets look good and warranty will not be affected, count me in!
