Let's try and make the cut-off date a day or two after the harnesses arrive and the units are available to be shipped out to those who have already paid.
Sound good?
That is fine with me. I say the cut-off date happens a day before the units are fully programmed and ready to ship out. One day before the ship date should be the cut-off date. I'll let Mike know.

Hey Nola,
Can you give me a little more info on the flux device. What all will i need to be able to use it, i see you need a bluetooth device to operate? I could be wrong. I do have a couple macs and an iphone, but i see it needs to be windows compatible. I am not sure if the windows laptop i have has bluetooth. Also what is the cost on the group buy for the programmer and the flux(sorry if it has been posted earlier.) I paid the deposit only and did not state if i wanted the flux or not, how do i go about adding that to the order. Sorry for all of the questions!
Hopefully Tundradrenalin pointed you in the right direction regarding what the Flux system requirements are. I believe the price is $220. As far as adding it to your order, just send Mike with Unichip an email asking him to add it to your order if you want it.

I did look on the website and somehow missed that i needed a PDA. Caught it the second time. Thanks guys. I guess since i am a apple junky i am out of luck. Really do not want to buy a pda. Do you think i would need service on the pda or if i can get my hands on one cheap without a carrier i would be able to just use it for this reason?

You don't necessarily need a new PDA. I bought a used laptop with XP loaded on it for a friend for $200. It was a decent Latitude Dell with built-in WiFi. Try your local Craigslit.
But then, you have to justify spending another wad of cash...

Here are a couple of questions I had and responses Mike Timmons from Unichip. It may be helpful.
I am assuming that if I have a laptop with Windows XP that I will be able to use the Flux System? Flux works with PDA’s and Blackberries. We will be supporting mobile 5.0 and 6.0 with our newest OBDII CAN release.
How do I connect from my laptop to the PiggyBack ECU? The PDA or Black berry is connected through Bluetooth.
Will the Flux System be available at the same time as the PiggyBack ECU? If not, when will it approx be available? It will be close. They are finishing up the programming and they are almost done with the needed hard parts. If its not done buy the time we ship the tundra kits, we should ship with in 2 weeks afterwards.

You don't need to have a new PDA phone. You can get a used PDA phone without service to it. You only need the Bluetooth capability and Windows mobile 5.0 or 6.0 software. I stopped using my PDA phone because it was a good mini-computer but a crappy phone. Luckily I kept it and now it will be useful again. My wife won't be happy when I'm sitting in my truck for hours playing with the PDA Mike told me a while ago that they were trying to develop the Flux software to work on laptops as well, but he couldn't project when that would be ready. It won't be anytime soon, however.
