Helliwig Products has released a 1-1/4"Front Sway Bar for 1st gen Tundra applications and will be offering a group buy for Tundra Solutions members. Since you might need a Rear bar as well, we are bringing back the group buy pricing for those as well. From September 18, 2008 to October 31, 2008 Group Purchase Pricing will apply on the following products for Toyota Tundra applications.

Why replace the front swaybar with a Hellwig? Does the larger diameter really make that much of a difference? Just wondering

I have your rear sway bar (you can see the install in one of my threads, or the site in my signature.) and it's an excellent product, and I know your customer service is great. It really is true, you can feel an amazing difference on the first turn after install.

Please review the original post again before you make a purchase. The post says Gen 1 Tundra. On the Gen1 Tundra the sway bar may differ in size pending on the year you bought. The 2005 has a 1" bar. Does a 1.25" bar make a difference? It will be able to withstand more torsion and flex. Your call.

D'oh, I didn't even see that

I do know that larger diameter bars can indeed make a difference. I haven't measured the stock one, and I do get some roll. I am hoping the rear bar will help the bulk of it.

Dear Dave,
would you be willing to make an exception and extend the group buy
for a 2nd gen. Tundra rear sway bar buy?
My truck did not get to El Salvador until just recently, and at the normal price + freight and taxes, I am looking at close to $500.....
Kindly advise.
