Bigwilyt - do you know if the systems will be shipped as soon as they receive the check or are they going to wait until all the orders are in? Are the systems in stock at their shop in Chicago or are they being shipped directly from Corsa in Ohio

Yes, i spoke with migelle today when he said his brother the other owner of the shop said cashiers check or money order because of 4.5% margin and they get charged 3% for the credit card machine. I would have mentioned this earlier however he just called me at 2 pm today and said that is their method of payment. I am sorry guys. He also updated his phone to the office number 773-267-2221.
I'd be willing to pay the 3% for the credit card. It is only 24 bucks. Is this an option? I just dont have access to my bank until Sat. because my bank is not in my area where I work and I dont get home until 6:30 everynight.
I already paid by credit card, I don't mind paying the $24 bucks, but the owner emailed me saying that he is going to wait until all the orders come in first...so I have to wait "2 weeks, more or less" Alright guys, get your orders in pronto.

I'll be in if I ever get an email back from him. It took him like 9 hours yesterday to respond to my first email. I sent him another this morning and I haven't heard back from him yet. I plan on using my credit card like C-LOS did. I sent him an email asking if it was ok for me to use my credit card as well. Just waiting to hear back from him.
I must appologize to anyone this affects and am willing to accept punishment but I regret to say that I am out on this group buy. As I stated earlier I found a cheaper price and ordered it Monday afternoon online using a credit card. The exhaust arrived via FedEx to my porch this afternoon and sits in my garage awaiting installation. Again, I was willing to accept the intial higher price but having to send a cashiers check and wait around for all this to go through was not worth it. If all these specifics were covered from the get go, I would not have voted. My appologies to all.
I think we were up to 21 before it was opened up to all, we should be ok as long as everyone calls in their orders.

He will take payment on credit card but will charge an additional 2% to cover most of his fees. Again, he is working on a small profit. I confirmed from the president of Corsa that Migelle had preordered some of the most popular models so we would not have as long of wait. The shipment will arrive next week to the shop. And Migelle stated that as soon as the first shipment arrives he would be shipping them to those who have paid.
As for his response time, If your not satisified with the time it takes to get a return email, just give him a call, as I have provided his personal cell and his office number. And if the number is only 18 or 19 that come through, Migelle will stand behind his pricing as he is a man of his word, as we all should be, even if some of us had to go elsewhere and don't go through with your commitment.
Mauldaug: Your a fine example of why we couldn't get the deal again with the first company we did the Corsa group buy with. People hung them out to dry on 7 systems. SO THAT MEANS THAT 7 PEOPLE THAT MADE THE COMMITMENT TO DO THE GROUP BUY BACKED OUT AND THE COMPANY LOST MONEY ON THE DEAL, SO AGAIN THAT IS WHY THEY WOULD NOT COME CLOSE TO THE PRICING THAT MIGELLE HAS STEPPED UP TO GIVE US. IF THAT IS THE WAY YOU DO BUSINESS, I HOPE THAT $6 BUCKS WAS WORTH IT. First off, again, I apologized. I had every intent on making the purchase. It was not simply the price but the additional 3 weeks or so it will take to actually receive it. To correct you, this is not the best price out there. I purchased mine (14577) from a website for $799 w/free shipping and it was in my possesion the very next day. I'm not discounting the work that went into this, but when I can do a brief search and find a better deal on a single purchase and NOT have to wait weeks to receive it, well then, I hate to say it but, 1) It's a no brainer and 2) apparently the research was not very thorough when you can get a better deal without having to have 20 orders. That was supposed to be the whole reason for a group buy. Not in this case. How can you fault me, how can anyone? As a stated before, if you would have stated these stipulations from the outset, my vote would have not been cast.

Who are you to question anyones financial status? I prefer to pay with credit card. I dont trust cashiers checks because of all the scams that are out there. I pay my credit card off every month, never get charged interest, and paying this off for the month does not even come close to breaking the bank for me. You are very ignorant and may well be an A..HOLE for making a statement like that.
I still plan on ordering this exhaust I haven't backed out. Like I mentioned in a previous post I dont have access to my bank until the weekends so credit cards are a convienence for me.
Come on guys let's ease up on each other and get this thing done. Like Bigwilyt said, if you need to pay buy cc please go ahead and do so, I see no problem in the vendor preferring a cashiers check or money order. Think about it, the vendor is a brick and mortar store and comitted to 20 orders from all over the country, that is at a minimum 16,000 dollars ( 20X800 just to get an amount )and in this financial time that we are in not every buisness has that to just give up on some votes from the internet. Now this guy can't work and give away his product for free and doesn't really need a bunch of inventory that he may not be able to move out of his "brick & mortar" if some of the "voters" back out for whatever reason, money order/cashiers check ensures the commitment of the "voter" and gaurentees a sale (and some profit), not to say that a cc doesn't do the same (smaller profit) but you can back out of a cc sale if you change your mind. Group buys are tough to put together and keep together just because of the nature of the internet, and Bigwilyt and others have put a lot into this thing to get it done and yes the payment method was unexpected but as has been stated it is a perferred method and the vendor is not against accepting cc let's not blow the reputation of the forum (for future group buys anywhere) or Bigwilyt by letting these small hurdles get in the way. Thanks to everyone who committed to purchase, has already confirmed their orders and sent/made their payments. Those that have not called in their confirmations all the bugs should be worked out now so get those calls in and thanks you all for your support.
