It has been brough to my attention that there has been some confusion of pricing here.
The group buy ONLY is $799 + $20 shipping for a total of $819.00 to your door.
The other pricing is for individual sets of headers ........
I'm also about 85% in if the performance is there at 1800 or so RPMs up to peak hp and torque at about 3400. Need to hear about the numbers and here about the performance. One interesting note of trivia about the long tube headers. In the mid sixties with the 283/327/396/289/302 engines, there was not ample room at the solid metal wheel wells for short tube headers and you always see them below the heads on the shoebox Nova's, the SS's, Mustangs, Chevelle's, even the Corvette's. Take a look some time.
S&S needs to get their act together and quit playing around. Winter is fast approaching and their aren't too many people willing to crawl under a Tundra for a day to change out headers. Any way to light a fire under these guys so there is a little more sense of urgency? To this point, their sense of urgency has been very underwhelming.
i want my headers BEFORE ohio winds up barely head-above-water in a re-creation of the dead sea, so to speak. f-ing ohio. i don't want to have to break the manifold bolts loose after TWO winters in ohio. what's the holdup, anyway? it'd be nice if we at least had an update so we know there's progress...i'm assuming they're working hard on 20 sets of these things as we speak, if not, what am i waiting for? seriously, a good eta would be nice, rather than an estimate of "a couple weeks." right now, i'm expecting these will make a good christmas present.
The headers are being welded. The O2 sensors are the delay. They are still working on them. S&S is hoping in the next few weeks to have them done.
They are rounding up the plugs and attachments and are having a company make them. The problem is no one dealer or place has the quantity of parts that S & S needs to release these quickly. They are rounding up from various locations. I will chat with them at the end of this week or the begining of next week for the next update.

The biggest hangup currently is the 14" and 24" extentions. I have found wire connectors for S&S but they do not have the wires or the special terminals. Now am on a search to find the pigtails with the terminals. This has been a big challenge. Two suppliers the Loren has used in the past have not been able to get the materials for the extensions. One of the four wire is shielded (o2 wire). Every day I'm spending time on this deal to help speed up the event. Anyone out there work for a electrical wire company that might be able to help. I believe the headers might be done before the connectors are available at this rate. Try to get more info this week. Very frustrating...........

Thanks for your work on this.
Last I talked to Loren he is expecting the headers to be done before the wire extensions are.
Keep us posted on the wires. I will steadily be talking to Loren about the header progress.
What's the chance of S&S kicking out one set with new wires so we can get 'em on a Tundra and give it a go. i know they want to release to the general public but wouldn't it be worth their while to receive some positive feedback, undue a lot of missed promised dates, show that the performance is their as advertised? Just a thought but can't we get one set installed and demo'd?

Hell I'd just like to get a set without wires, y-pipe and cats, I'l make it work myself, I just want the coated tubes! I can't get em t nail down a price or anything. Now that I see it can be done, I may just go to Zemco, or another header maker and get a custom set!

I'll talk to them tomorrow and see if a set can be pushed ahead so we can at least get some feedback.
I spoke with S & S with regard to if a single set can be made up for feedback.
Their response was that when they do one they do them all. There is not a set done up yet and the wire set for the O2 sensor isn't done for any of them yet.
They will not be able to do a single set. Sorry.
Rsvees, I talked to Betty she is in the process of figuring the pricing on each component item. She said once she knows she will call me and let me know.
I will be speaking with Loren again next week. I will give another update then, as long as I am not working 12 hour days again.

These S&S Headers better be the best thing since sliced bread with an arrogant attitude like that. I mean really. We've all been very patient as the promise dates pass by for the last year and they can't take a crowbar to their wallets and pry out a set for testing? Nothing aimed at you Imdone - you've been a champion for our cause.

Good point and exactly what I was thinking when I read their response. Imdone has been a warrior through all this, but to me, the 80/20 rule applies here. S&S shouldn't spend 80% of their time waiting to finish the last 20% of the project.
To retain the customers that are still waiting, they need to finish ONE SET COMPLETELY and start testing to show some results. Otherwise, they risk losing those that are tired of waiting.
No testing soon = less faithful TS customers when they are finally released...
My .02 cents...
Seee-ya,
Jim.
