Why don't you ask some questions that you would like to know and I will answer them in this thread.
The quick of it is:
S & S has designed a long tube tuned header set with new cats and ypipe. they are ceramic coated inside and out. they are 1 5/8" primaries with 2.5" collector and ypipe. The cats are also 2.5" inlet/outlet. The system will bolt up to the stock muffler. It is also setup for an easy transition to an aftermarke cat-back system as well. The system is completely bolt on. No cutting or welding.
And...we hope...tuned for more power in the mid-rpm range that most of us use most of the time. Imdone's road tests will let us know just how they perform.

I want in but I want to see the Dyno results first. The coated are, I assume ceramic coated Stainless steel? I have the SS Autochrome headers installed now and the powercurve is to high in the RPM scale as I suspec the JBA's are. Anyone with hard numbers yet other than what S&S is saying? Also haven't seen the picts yet they e-mailed me would be posted the 14th. Don't want to sound like a sceptic but this has been long overdue from what appeared to be promised a long time ago.
Only the proto type has been developed. Mass production has not started. We can't test them until we can get them. That's 6-8 weeks away. Testing will be done by Imdone and myself not S&S. Yes it has been long over due but I think it will be worth it. Not sure what the progress is on the pictures. I'll stop by in the morning and ask Loren.

No point in stainless headers if coating is planned...these are steel, not stainless, then coated. Have you read about the coating? http://www.jet-hot.com/pages/techinfo.html
If one was planning headers for a 10,000 rpm engine, they'd be short and fat like JBA, SSAutochrome, & Downey--but equal length primaries. For good lower and mid range power for our engines, the headers need to be about 36" long and always as near equal length as possible. S&S' headers are 35-1/2" long (to fit in front of the crossmember). Here's what Burns Stainless says, "...Header pipe length is dependent on wave tuning (or lack of it). Typically, longer pipes tune for lower r.p.m. power and the shorter pipes favor high r.p.m. power....." http://www.burnsstainless.com/TechAr...ry/theory.html

I may be interested, but have an important question. I just ran new true dual from the factory flanges back. In other words I need to know if the headers end in the same place as the factory manifold and cats did. I no longer use the factory Y pipe. If not I would have to rework my brand new exhaust system....Please let me know.
I would think that if you are mounting to the cats in the stock position, this kit will be different. The primaries are longer and therefore the cats are pushed back farther. If you cut out the y-pipe you may have to do some modification to the dual exhaust.
This ofcourse depends on where all the mounts are.
I can't really give you a final answer on this until I have a set.
I will post at least 1 full page of photos to give as many angles as possible. I can also give you some measurements if you tell me where you want to know from and too.

Interesting. I am glad that the seller is putting 8 - 10 weeks for delivery since these arent even done yet. I also like the "let us know if you have a 2wd or 4wd so we can send you the proper set."
I wonder if they are S & S headers, I would think they are as this is the only company making long tube headers and it looks like he pulled some of the info right out of some of our posts.
Oh yeah, notice that there isn't a picture posted, an other interesting thing, I will be interested to see if he just swipes S & S' photo.
Hmmmmmm.
