Guys..

I've had more then one person state if we get to 40 they'd join. I don't believe it's all about not affording...but more what do they believe this is worth to THEM. We all have different ideas and reasons we are buying or thinking of buying this mod. So please allow others their opinions...because it's the fact that no 2 people are exactly alike that keeps this world interesting, and makes us human

BTW bwilder10h....you don't have to wait till 40...39 will work...and you can have the honor of helping save everyone some cash

$40 isn't going to break my bank account, but $500 (IMHO) is a reasonable price for this mod. I seriously doubt they will sell very many units @ $825 after the group buy, but I've been wrong before. $660 @ 20% is just what I figured in my mind I would be willing to spend.

This is a "Group Buy". Haven't you heard of the saying: "All for one, and one for all"? We are all here trying to achieve a common goal, to get the lowest possible price on this chip as a group. If you want to purchase only after we reach 40 then that is your option. You can thank VernDog and the rest of the members that got you there!

I originally started posting and asking about the Unichip under a Performance thread in July of 02..... What's another week or so at this point; it'll save us all a couple of bucks. BTW Thanks for your follow-through and work on this project. Again Well Done.

Okay... well I did something stupid... I clicked "Not yet but I will." See the thing is... I'm VERY VERY VERY stupid and I like clicking buttons. Well, what I'm getting to is that I thought "Not yet but I will" kinda meant "I'm not gonna buy one because I have no money but I'm gonna click on this button because I'm a stupid little kid."

Sorry?

That post was from a while back, and is kinda out of context at this point. I posted that comment when we had something like 15 deposits and were just looking to get enough for the group buy. I am pleasantly surprised that 35 people voted in the poll, and we had about 35 deposits payed when the poll closed. I never expected that we would make it past 30, let alone 40. So I apologize if you misunderstood the post. It would be nice if the polls were interactive enough to let members change their votes. It would just make the polls more up to date. Anyway, glad to see you aboard.

Exclamation

ill bring up the dyno resuts for the s/c engines yet once again.

-where are they?

I spoke with Jack last week and he told me they just pulled a 03' off the dyno ,all stock engine except equiped with the TRD supercharger. He did tell me an unoffical h.p. number that i wont post because i want this to be handled properly, with exact gains only being posted. I will say it was not in the 40 h.p. range like previously discussed.
- He also told me that there is no 03'-04' with a supercharger, headers, free flow exhaust to map off of
(not what i wanted or was lead to belive) so instead they will use a engine that is pre02' with above listed mods and then refigure the values for the extra injectors/different injectors to get a map to fit the 03-04 s/c with mods.
Jack acted very confident in Tonys ability to nail this down so ill " take his word for it " again.
I am glad to hear the 00'-02' s/c guys (my brothers in arms ) will get a dead nuts premaped unit but all my faith for a dead on pre-mapped unit has to be in Jack's and Tony's hands ( this is where the praying smilie icon would go ) I do have faith in them.

do we have any results yet? im begining to wonder why they havnt been given to Kevin to be posted by this point in time-

are the s/c guys going to have to buy these Unichips without any chart showing exact gains? If the group buy would have ended on time i guess this would have been the case cause time was up -

Kevin can we get some dyno results for the s/c guys from Jack?

p.s. am i the only one here with these concerns regarding 03-04 s/c results?

Yes...I got the full report on the SC dyno, but still haven't recieved them to post. Correct peak gain was under the 40 number going around but was respectable, and this was basically a stock truck with added SC. Now in the case of the SC trucks Jack stated the benifits (numbers) usually do go up with modified exhaust / breathing. He used a modified truck done some time ago as example with SC, ported heads, catback, headers, and some intake mods that gained around 65HP.

Also, yes I've checked back on 03 SC truck and was told thru flow rate (%) lookups he can calculate the mapping for the extra injector. I'm not sure why he went this route instead of the 03 truck that was offered, but I do believe he would only do this if he was confident in his numbers.

And yes...most everyone has already purchased the unichip without a dyno for their vehicle except the bone stock NA owners which are only a couple of.

Also...we are fortunate in being in on the ground works on this. How many other mods do you get a dyno from your exact or real close setup? None, I'm aware of....you look at one dyno for a particular truck and hope yours is similar.

Everything is covered and they're painting his office and couldn't get them out.
I will post the dyno's as soon as I get them.

Kevin

I remember seeing somewhere that the Unichip can correct for changed gears or larger tires. Any info on this?

It'd be great if I could easily get it to correct for my 33"s.

Well I just got off the phone with my dad, who happens to own a 2001 Tundra. If I can purchase a second Unichip under my user name, he will buy one. Call it a gift, a donation, whatever....as long as it fits within the group buy rules we will have 39 deposits. If I can get confirmation that bwilder10h will be in as well...that makes the total 40 ...and then everyone is happy. Let me know Verndog if this is cool...bwilder10h what do you think?

Definately. Once we hit 40, there'll be a bunch more people that sign up. I think I remember at least 5 people that said they'll join at 40...

But, in addition to tire correction, I'd also like to know more about its NOS capabilities. What exactly can this thing do in combination with a NOS system?

Yep, I'm in if I can get the 20% price. I'm getting e-mail notifications on this thread so I'm just waiting to see the 39 number come up and I'll be forwarding my deposit...
