Default apologies Kevin

Kevin-
Your work on this project has been very much appreciated and has been in all ways far beyond the call of duty. IMO, we all owe you a debt of gratitude for your honesty and openess with the good and the bad. I did not mean any disrespect or that you are keeping anything from us.

I am concerned about the info from Jack. No problem if the office painting is the problem, but this thing is moving ahead so fast. . . with no dyno info for all of us s/c guys (the majority of the orders?). I'm just drooling for the dyno numbers and am truly sorry that I came across as doubting you or your intentions.

Aloha,
Andy

Thumbs up Would number 40 please step up...

Well boys, I just paid the deposit for my dad's unichip. That puts us at #39!
I know there has to be someone out there who wants to be #40. It's a sure thing...number 40 is going to get a 20% discount, along with the rest of us. I'm personally not worried about all the rumors flying around. I can look at my blackened tail pipes and tell my truck is running way too rich. My personal reasons for the unichip are a better running engine plus a few extra ponies. My dad agrees, even after hearing all the what ifs. Bwilder10h...sorry to hear you are waiting on the buy...but I totally understand. Any takers?

Aloha,
Andy
Not true. There are 10 SC orders to 29 NA orders. And the SC group is going to get to see a dyno now and the NA people get to see only the stock dyno before closing. These things are out of my control. I understand both sides, and piss Jack off when I push him to get me things, then piss you guys off into unwarranted speculations if they're a day or 2 late.

Apologies accepted...

I am working on getting the dyno into a format we can see without Acrobat and there is a PDF file in my pics. I have 1/2 hour lunch and cannot do this from work so. I will work on that now.

Here are the actual gains, and they are on the high side where unichip has said ave gains are with peak higher.

I never posted the numbers because I wanted the dyno to back them up, and it was verbal over phone and didn't want to rely on memory... if I miss state something then someone else gets upset.

Average Gains -- 7.1%
-- 17.4 bhp
-- 19.9 lb-ft
Peak Gains -- 10%
-- 27.3 bhp
-- 28.7 lb-ft
Minimum Gains -- 3.1%
-- 4.6 bhp
-- 8.1 lb-ft

See dyno Here....
http://www.tundrasolutions.com/photo...sort/1/cat/500

No, not 40 HP as rumored and unichip never promissed that, but Jack also stated the SC truck LIKELY reacts to mods better and responds to the unichip better when modified. these are nice gains nonetheless, and when you compare to other mods, they are still yielding higher numbers with FAR more advantages!!

We are now at 39

Kevin

I want a "Powered by Unichip" decal just in case I can't tell any difference in the way it runs! Seriously, are they included with the shipment? I can at least impress my Grandsons with it!

I'm not sure but for the money, if they exist...I think I can convince him to throw some in Your too easy...I'd be asking for a hat or a jacket!

It seems like this group buy is getting pushed through too early. The units don't sound to be ready and we're pressuring Jack to get them done and he's calculating differences between two different models instead of proven dyno results and actual vehicle testing. Not to mention all the back and forth regarding what the actual gains are for each vehicle.

No flames intended, not trying to rain on the parade, just personal observations. Good luck to all involved!
Jack has dynoed the 2000 SC truck and knows the adjustments for that truck that are required. In adding the 10th injector in 2003 the flow rates can be looked up and it's a simple mathematical calculation. Millions of dollars are invested on mathematical calculations daily. This isn't "guess work" and I trust he knows what he's doing, or he will have to remap those at his expence if there is any error.

This is not the risk you make it to be. Were are saving $165.00 (one more and 20%) over retail, and we are the reason this will be available to others. There have been several respected posters here that have bought and are quite content with their purchase, and this is backed up further from the 2 test trucks. I have yet to hear of a Tundra owner that isn't happy with their unichip. So this is the faith that many rely, on....others experiance....and this is also the basis of this whole web site....others experiance.

Default I'm in......finally

I bit the bullet and sent my deposit in. Sorry it took so long, but that is alot of bread to throw down when you think your truck runs great as is. does that make me # 40

ps: verndog at one point I had the K&N FIPK but had to pull it off because mid 2002 they changed the parameters in the computer and it wouldn't work correctly. Do you know if these changes wolud cause problems with the unichip?

You have till Friday 11:30 PM Pacific.

If your good friends you can get it under your user name for him, otherwise he will have to join to get in.

The best thing to do would be get it pre-mapped for the headers...if you are going to do them within a month or so. There not scheduled to ship till 4/23/04 anyway. But if you are going to hold off then yes, headers is a big enough mod to want to get the new mapping. The unichip will be leaning the rich A/F mixtures to where they should be, and adding more volumn of air could lean it out too far and hurt performance.

You get 1 free retune...so you can use it for the headers, or save it for another mod.

Default remind me again

How much I just saved, because I love to save money on cool stuff. And is there any provision for getting 50 people on? And I just can't wait to plug in, and I think I'll get it retuned after a while by the Foo man teeeheeee.

Oh ya, don't forget to click my link and buy something. Please?
