I am in the same boat as ESAN. I placed my order and now find out that it could be awhile before I'm able to get the supercharger. I ordered a unichip for a supercharged engine. What next???
Likely a blessing. If they are holding them you can bet there is good reason. So...let me know if you want to change your order...but likely those that are patient will be glad....easier said then done though!
You tell me what I should be ordering. I've only been reading into this for 3 days now. I'm sure you have much more knowledge on the unichip than I could. Do I get a NA unit and can it be re-tuned for a supercharger? or is that a completely differnt chip and just hold on to it until the supercharger arrives?

You'll actually be buying the S/C PnP unichip, although you'll want it tuned for the NA engine untill you get the s/c. Once you get a s/c, you'll send it in for the retune. The only thing you'll notice is several extra wires which you won't use/need until you're ready for the s/c. Once your unichip is retuned and the s/c installed, hook up the extra wires and you'll be ready to go.

Verndog - can you change my order to the S/C with NA tuning for now (still keep w/ borla performace dual and drop the K&N drop in. Seems everyone is saying stay with the stock airbox.?) I'll just keep a watch on the S/C and see if they get it corrected. I believe we should get a phone call before they actually "tune" or chips, right? I beilieve I read that somewhere b/c we had to give a phone number.

Yes...you have up till the week before shipping to change. But if at last minute 10 people change to SC, I couldn't guarantee that everyone could get one because additional harware requirements. That most likely won't happen....just stating possibilities.
So is my order is for a S/C unit but tuned for NA. Right? Then I can have it retuned when the S/C comes in?
Thanks! I have become a junkie since I ordered my DC and I'm trying to do everything up front and pay it off later. This site is awesome. I and my credit card company thanks everone!

Can someone please educate me on the underdrive pulley that I am hearing about. I want as much power without the S/C as possible. Just hoping someone can shed some light... I am doing all the popular mods and am hoping that these do the trick. Thanks for all the info guys...

Search on "underdrive". Some of the other helpful threads have been merged or removed (not, sure...I'm working this with moderator Eddie). Check out these threads for some useful info:

OK, maybe what I was wondering, based on experience here. Is all of the basic mods with the Unichip, the best way to go. Exhaust, headers, y-pipe, homemade RamAir(sorry man, but this look like all stuff I can find) , and maybe underdrive pulley..... Is this the ticket or do I have some misgivings?
Tremo dude, you're close, we gotta get together. Maybe we can work out a trade or somethin'...Commercial tennant finsh constuction bus...Maybe, maybe...
